Nicola Miller shares with the membership, Lime Blue Solutions Top 5 DMC’s that we have worked with recently.
The Inside Edge – Southern Africa – we ran a fantastic incentive at The Royal Livingstone Zambia for a group of 35 in May this year. This is the sixth time we have worked with the Inside Edge having done incentives at Phinda Game reserve and both conferences and an incentive in Cape Town previously with them. They have always been excellent and this year was no exception. Nelson was an absolute star. Highlights included a visit to the Falls from both sides, a Zambezi River Drift and Elephant interaction, a day trip to Chobe Game reserve and the final dinner on the Royal Livingstone Express Train. They are represented by David Marks at MM and Company.
HL Adventures – Iceland. A really exciting destination for those looking for something different. This destination is not about luxury but about action…. fantastic scenery, great monster trucks, ice hiking, horse riding, off road driving on the Black Beach, Blue Lagoon hot springs, snowmobile rides and fantastic restaurants. The quality of the food was superb and I cannot recommend Johanna from HL highly enough – she is a dream to work with. They are represented by Moulden Marketing.
Destination Asia – Thailand. We had a group of 70 people staying at the Anantara Mai Khao Phuket – what a stunning property. Each villa has its own individual pool and the restaurant choices and spa were amazing. Guests enjoyed a huge range of activities including a Thai boxing show, visit to the local Thai market and cookery school, canopy zip line experience, elephant jungle trek, visit to Monk’s blessing and the highlight – a speed boat tour of Phang Nga Bay followed by a BBQ on the beach. I was a little nervous of using such a large DMC as Destination Asia but I have to say they were excellent. Parti in particular was superb. They are represented by GMC.
TLC – Portugal. We have a long standing working relationship with TLC Portugal having ran events with them since 2006. They are consistently good. Recently we used them to assist with a conference in Pestana Cidadela Cascais – a great 4* venue located inside a former fortress overlooking the marina in Cascais and last year we also used their Porto office for an incentive staying at the wonderful Yeatman – a really lovely hotel and destination for a 3 night programme. They are represented by GMC.
Raising Stone – France and Monte Carlo. Another long standing relationship, as we have run several events at the beautiful Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo over the years. This year we trusted Pierre and the team to look after one of our clients directly as they didn’t need event management from our side. They always offer an excellent, hands on service.
