As the Alliance leaves its infancy we feel it is time to structure some our thoughts and to really begin to shape the longer term view for the Alliance.

We are holding our first membership conference where we will try to establish our ‘manifesto’.

The Alliance is a membership group that really wants to represent its members and to bring benefits of the shared knowledge, experience  and ideas across the group. We really want it to be a business advantage to be a member of the AIEA.

Our membership represents approximately 80 small independent agencies throughout the UK who have a wide variety of issues and solutions – it is highly likely that another member has already faced those issues and can offer words of guidance and knowledge.

Clearly we are not looking to share business sensitive solutions but we hope that membership will give access to some real hands-on experiences that members can benefit from.

Initially one of the main aspects of membership was the cumulative purchasing power of the group. We still hope to leverage that ‘together’ strength  to our members benefit. We already have some benefits in place, we want more.

We also want to have a ‘voice’ on the larger stage where as individual agencies we may get drowned out but as an Alliance people will begin to sit up and listen.

With the current climate of Coronavirus, politics, Brexit and generally shifting sands we hope that members can help each other through experience.

In order to make sure all our arrows are pointing in the same direction, we want to have a round table discussion amongst the members to determine how we move forward in those quests.

We would like to try to establish a strategy that all our members sign up to and that we can shout about to the industry – a method of setting us apart from non-members.

We would like to try to discuss what should be expected of us by the industry and  what we expect the industry to do for us?

What information would be beneficial to a supplier partner so that they can give us the highest quality and most valuable proposals.

We may need to discuss as a group who should be eligible  going forward to join the Alliance ?

We want to know why you joined us and what you expect of the Alliance ?

These are a few of the higher level points that we want to gain a consensus on that will enable us to shape our future – we want this to be a discussion rather than a statement determined by a few for the many.

The Conference is the opportunity for you as members to have your say and to garner views and interests of our membership, which we can then start to formulate goals and aspirations of the group.

Please participate in this important stage in our development by joining us in Amsterdam for what we believe will be a fascinating and rewarding conference.

We are travelling from St Pancras on Friday 27th March at 11 am returning Sunday 29th March in the late afternoon. For those that are interested Melia International are hosting an event for members on Thursday 26th march with accommodation available.

Outbound and return travel by EUROSTAR costs will be covered by the AIEA. If you wish to travel by other means for convenience then you are welcome to do so at your own cost. The plan is to arrange transfers to arrive at Schiphol Airport no earlier than 1pm and the Eurostar terminal no earlier than 130 pm. The Eurostar train return involves a change in Brussels .
